Hi there friends!

I'm so thrilled to be on the blog today because I'll be using some new projects from the upcoming Good Times release. This release will go live on Tuesday, April 15, at 2 PM CDT.

I'm focusing on two product suites:  Butterflies Bliss and Beautiful Soul along with some essential dies which are also part of this release.

To create these cards, I pretty much use the same process in all of them: I ink ink blended certain parts of my background to add some interest and adhered my main images on top.

So without further ado, let's take a look at my first project:

Here you are the step by step instructions to create it:

  1. Add some Glimmer hot foil in Matte Gold Glimmer to your cardstock using the Press Plate of the Butterfly Bliss product suite and also the Press Plate of the Beautiful soul product suite. I did ink blend two pannels of the Beautiful soul delicate branches.

  2. Add color to your images using the coordinating stencils from these sets with : Raspberry Bliss, Sweet Mustard, Sunrise, Mimosa, Critron, Bay Leaf and Spruce Tips.

  3. Cut out your images with the coordinating diecut.

  4. Glue the two largest braches and arrange one of the butterflies on top with foam adhesive as shown in the photo where the two braches meet.

  5. White heat emboss the Beautiful soul stamp in vellum and cut it out with the coordinating die.

  6. Cut out a panel of 3 1/4 by 6 1/4 and inl blend the center of this panel with Spruce Tips.

  7. Foam mount your images on top and stamp your sentiment from the same set with Detail Black ink.

  8. Add some Clear with Gold Dust Gems.

For my second project I used the same sets: Beautiful soul and Butterfly Bliss:

Here's the step by step process:

  1. Add some Glimmer hot foil in Matte Gold Glimmer to your cardstock using the Press Plate of the Butterfly Bliss product suite and also the Press Plate of the Beautiful soul product suite. I did ink blend two pannels of the Beautiful soul delicate branches.

  2. Add color to your images using the coordinating stencils from these sets with : Raspberry Bliss, Sunrise, Citron, Sunrise, Mimosa, Critron, Bay Leaf, Mint and Meadow.

  3. Cut our a circle frame using two circles from the new Double Stitched Circles die set.

  4. Ink blend the edges of an A2 panel with Spruce Tips using your 1" Blending Brush. Place the Stitched Chain Coverplate die on top of this panel and dry emboss it running it through your diecutting machine using a rubber mat.

  5. Foam mount your big circle frame on top of this panel and arrange your Beautiful Soul branches as shown in the picture with double sided foam adhesive.

  6. Adhere one of the butterflies from the set Butterfly Bliss at the bottom of the lower beautiful branch.

  7.  Stamp your sentiment from the same set with Detail Black ink and foam mount in the center of the card.

  8. Add some Clear with Gold Dust Gems.

Since I had four small branches from the Beautiful Soul set already colored, I decided to use them to create my third project:

The process to create this card quite similar to the previous ones:

  1. Repeat steps  no.1 and 2 from my first card.

  2. Cut out your images with the coordinating dies.

  3. Ink blend an A1 panel on two corners with Mint ink.

  4. Cut our an oval with one of the dies from the new Double Stitched Elongated die set.

  5. Dry emboss this oval panel with the Stitched Basket Weave and foam mount it onto your partially ink blended A2 panel.

  6. Arrange your small Beautiful Soul small Branches around your oval and foam mount your butterfly  at the bottom of your card.

  7. Stamp your sentiment from the same set with Detail Black ink and foam mount in the center of the card.

  8. Add some Clear with Gold Dust Gems.

I hope these projects bring a smile to your face and feel inspire to create.

Set your alarms for Tuesday, April 15, at 2 PM CDT so you don't miss the complete release!

Until next time, have fun creating!.

Hugs,

Raquel
