Colorful Fairytale Frames

Hi again friends, I'm back today sharing some colorful designs using the recently released Fairytale Frame Press Plate from Pinkfresh Studio.

I cannot deny I'm always drawn to create designs with vivid colors or a mix of colors or shades. This is just the case. The Fairytale Frame Press Plate is perfect to try out different combos and that's exactly what I did to create these cards.

I started out with some fresh spring tones. First I used my Emerald mini ink cube on the top and bottom of my Fairytale Frame Press Plate. Then I applied Meadow, SunshineSunkissed and a little bit of Peony towards the center.

Next up I applied Emerald ink onto an A2 panel of Porcelain Cotton Press cardstock, placed the Ornate Trellis Press Plate onto my Betterpress and run it through my die cutting machine. It adds such a delicate letterpress effect that I just love. Before adhering my Fairytale Frame to my card base, I added some more texture cutting a white frame with the Floral Outline Frame die . I couldn't resist adding some more greenery by white heat embossing on vellum the Butterfly Garden stamp. I decided to fussy cut this frame in half and foam mount it adding some extra volume.

Finally I added my sentiment from the set: Favorite Things Sentiment Press Plate stamped in Betterpress Black Ink and some Iridescent Clear drops.

I created some more designs with a similar look changing the colors:

For this card I choose my mini ink cubres: Turquoise, Waterfall, Ocean Breeze, Fresh Pear, Meadow and Emerald. Once I applied my inks onto the Fairytale Press Plate I run it through my die cutting machine. I also added some texture with a white die cut piece cut out of the Secret Garden die.

The sentiment is also from the Favorite Things Sentiments Press Plate set using Turquoise mini ink cube.

For my next designs I created a double frame using this Fairytale Press Plate to make two impressions:

For the top frame I used Raspberry, Passion Fruit, Coral Reef, Sunkissed and Sunshine and for the bottom frame I used Raspberry, Candy Apple, Passion Fruit and Clay Betterpress ink.

I trimmed my two frames in half horizontally and also vertically and then arranged these eight pieces to create a continuous effect with lots of dimension. I also added some greenery with the Curvy Foliage die and inked up with Betterpress black ink the sentiment from the Favorite Things Sentiments Press Plate.

For my last design, I followed the same steps. To create some interest to the background I adhered some circles I had die cut using the Mini Slimline Essentials die set and inked up the Fairytale Frame with a rainbow combo using: Passion Fruit, Coral Reef, CitronKey Lime, Waterfall and Turquoise mini ink cubes. The sentiment is also from the Favorite Things Sentiments Press Plate inked up with Storm.

I hope these ideas inspire you to create!

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Raquel,
