Dimensional Folk Snowflakes

Updated: Nov 17, 2023

Hello friends!

Raquel here today sharing some fun Folk snowflakes designs.

The moment I saw the beautiful Folk Snowflake Stamp I knew I wanted to try some fun arrangements with it so I created several designs.

For my front card design I started by gold heat embossing this stamp twice. Next up I went ahead applied some ink using the coordinating stencils. I must admit this is my favorite part of the process. Mixing and matching colors is so much fun. This time I stepped out of my usual warm tones combos and used Slumber, Soft Lilac, Candy Violet, Regal Kiss and Raspberry Bliss

Once I finished ink blending my two snowflakes, I cut them in half and used the Floral Backdrop Coverplate die to create some texture for my background. My idea was to create a pattern by adhering the snowflakes on each side of the front panel. I always add dimension to my die cut images so of course I used lots of foam tape under these images.

For my sentiment, I used this beautiful phrase from the set Farm Fresh Stamp set heat embossed in Liquid Platinum embossing powder.

Next up I adhered my panel onto a navy cardstock and added some Sky Blue clear drops

Following this same idea, I embossed another snowflake with white pearl embossing powder and ink blended them using Slumber, Soft Lilac and Candy Violet and cut it in half. I run the Snowflakes Coverplate die through my die cutting machine and used it as a backdrop for my front panel. I framed this panel with the smallest Stitched Scalloped Rectangle die and trimmed the excess.

Then I adhered each part of the snowflake at the top and at the bottom of this frame and used the new Kaitlin Alpha die set to create the word Joy. I partially ink blended each letter using Slumber to add some interest and before adhering this panel to my cardbase I also added some colorful strips onto the cardbase.

I hope these ideas inspire you to create and thank you so much for stopping by!

Happy crafting,

Raquel

I love the dimension you create with both your ink blending and the drop shadows. You have created beautiful cards!
