Let's dive right in and let me show you the projects I created for today's blog:
I'm showcasing the Cheerful Blossoms Press Plate, coordinating stencils, and die set along with the Basic Sentiments die set.
I started this project by hot foiling this image using the Cheerful Blossoms Press Plate with Mate Gold Glimmet Hot Foil. Next up I colored these beautiful blooms using the coordinating stencils with Cherry Blossoms, Candy Apple, Grassy Knoll, Olive, Citron and Bay Leaf.
Once I finished coloring all the images I used the coordinating die to cut them out all at once.
I wanted to pop up these blooms around a white frame so I grabbed the new Nested Rectangles Postage dies and die cut a frame using the two largest dies. I foam mounted this frame onto my white card front and adhered a part of a diecut from the Secret Garden die on the bottom right corner.
For my sentiment I used the Hello die, from the Basic Sentiments die set and colored this die cut piece with Cherry Blossoms applying more ink at the bottom and softening the color towards the top of the diecut. I also die cut another Hello diecut out of Gold Glitter cardstock and adhered both diecuts offseting them a bit so the gold glitter was visible.
I had quite a few Cherry blossoms leftovers, I decided so create another card. Since I used Cherry Blossoms as my predominant color in my previous project, this card was leaning more towards green, so I created a green frame using the Dotted Fancy Frames dies and adhered it onto a panel I had previously dry embossed with the Cheerful Blossoms Press Plate. I slighty applied some Olive ink on the upper left and bottom right edges of the frame and foam mounted my main bouquets on top of these inked edges.
For my sentiment I used the sentiment from the Thinking of you stamp set, stamped it with Detail Black and adhered onto another die cut of the same sentiment in Gold Glitter Cardstock. I foam mounted my sentiment onto the smallest frame of the Dotted Fancy Frames dies set.
For my last project I inked up another panel I had foiled using Mate Gold Glimmet Hot Foil with the Cheerful Blossoms Press Plate. This time I used Ocean Breeze, Tidal Pond, Grassy Knoll, Olive, Apricot, Clementine, Sparkling Rose and Raspberry Bliss.
I created a gold oval frame using Mate Gold Glimmet Hot Foil with Nested Elongated Ovals Press Plate and their coordinating dies and foam mounted my flowers onto this oval frame.
I wanted to create some texture on my background so I die cut three panels using one of the Fancy Edgers dies. These panels meassured 4 1/8" wide by 1 and 3/4"" tall. I adhered them onto a white note card stacking them and adhered this panel onto a light pool cardstock. Next I foam mounted my frame onto my light blue cardbase and added my sentiment from the Basic Sentiments die set. I used Olive ink to color my sentiment so the whole design had a cohesive look.
I had so much fun creating these projects and I do hope they inspired you to create.
