The Stamp Market Halloween and Fall Release

Updated: Jun 26, 2023

Hello friends!

The Stamp Market has released their Fall and Halloween release and it is...GORGEOUS!

I have always loved The Stamp Market designs, colors and the clean and beautiful projects they share in their web and Social Media.

When I got the chance to play with these goodies the Happy Halloween Cover die instantly caught my eye. Cover dies like this one, make a carmaker really really enjoy the process. Why? because it is so versatile!

My first design couldn't be more easy:

I knew I wanted to use pinks, oranges and black, so I decided to use Fresh Pink cardstock for my card base. I thought another neutral color would be a perfect match for the black so I made my background with the Plaid Lines Stamp (another must have) stamping it with Gravel ink onto white cardstock.

Then I ran the Happy Halloween Cover die three times through my cutting machine with white, Mellon and white glitter cardstock.

I glued each letter offsetting them just a bit so the bottom layer (Mellon) was visible. To place each letter I used one of the negative pieces of after die cutting it three times and used it as a template.

Once all the letters were glued I removed the template using scissors and added the cutest ghost from the Oct 31 4Ever Stamp set and some bats from the Spooky Cute Sequin Mix. The sentiment is also from the Oct 31 4Ever Stamp set.

While making this card another idea came to my mind: to use different color cardstock for each letter and even make a shaker out of some letters:

I used Fresh Pink, Party Pink, Citrine and Black cardstock. I ran the Happy Halloween Cover die four times instead of cutting small pieces of cardstock, I thought it would be quicker and I'd have some leftovers for future projects.

I used the negative piece of white cardstock and use it as the base to my design. I glued some acetate in the back below the letters "N", "O" and "L" (I wanted the small shaker letters to be equally distant from each other) and adhered two layers of Double sided foam adhesive. Then I filled these letters with the gorgeous Spooky Cute Sequin Mix .

For the rest of the letters I wanted to have three colors of each letters but since there were eleven letters I decided to use black cardstock for two of them and add another element to fill the design.

Finally I stacked two layers of white cardstock for each letter so they had some dimension. Then I just glued each letter in its place and added a bat as a black element so the design was cohesive.

You may think this process is a little bit time consuming but once you have every die cut the rest is very easy and the card is done in no time.

Hope you like these projects and inspiration!!

Happy crafting!

Raquel

I have what might be a silly question, apologies I’m still very new to card making…did you put the two layers of double adhesive foam tape over the entire back of the panel? Trying to work out the shaker part in my head.
